As Centre Director of Penguin Childcare Melbourne, my mission is to ensure that the centre and its educators deliver the high quality care and programs that it sets out to do.
My decision to join the industry was heavily influenced by the creative minds of young children. I thrive on working in partnership with families to develop a sense of belonging for their children.

Reviews and Testimonials
See what some of our parents say about our centre:
“Have been very pleased with Penguin Childcare. We’ve had our little one here since she was 1 year and she’s nearly 2 now. The staff are caring, friendly, capable, trustworthy and the location is convenient. I especially appreciate the daily feedback provided by the staff on her daily activities. Overall, Penguin Childcare fit the bill on all of my needs and my daughter seems very happy there.”
“This is a great centre. The facilities are fantastic, the staff are wonderful and most of all, our 3 year old son absolutely loves it. They also send photos and synopsis of their day via email (with parent’s consent of course) which is always a great laugh for us parents.”
“Our daughter has been at Penguin Childcare for two and half years, since she was two years old. She has always loved it, right from the start the team went our of their way to help her settle in. Everyone has been consistently friendly, welcoming and caring. Celia, Emily, Jennifer, Xindi and the other educators listened to our concerns when our daughter was going through tricky stages like phasing out of nappies and afternoon naps, and they quickly accommodated her needs. I really like the cultural diversity in the Penguin team and in the children attending Penguin Childcare, it makes for a great atmosphere where kids learn to be respectful of all backgrounds.”
“I can remember feeling such anxiety about my then 6 month old son attending childcare. However from the first day the team at Penguin Childcare Docklands made me feel welcome and at put me at ease. I could call the centre at anytime of the day for an update and from as early as the second day I dropped my son off they all knew him by name!
I have found its just the extra mile the staff go there – in my first few months always having a tissue ready for me at the front desk when I left in the morning, remembering his first birthday, sending an update to me via a newsletter with pictures and a description of what they have done each day. All of his belongings safely packed away in his bag, and assisting me in the process of weaning him off formula.
Most importantly my son Lachlan is happy when he goes to day care and has fun interacting and learning with everyone there. The centre is clean and the menu has a wide variety of nutritious food which was really important to me. Overall the team is always professional and kind, I cannot speak more highly of the level of care they provide. Trusting in someone else to care for your child is a difficult step but I am grateful that we can be a part of the Penguin family.”
“The team at Penguin Childcare Melbourne are fantastic! My daughter started there when she was 6 months old and is now 19 months. The carers are warm and friendly. With their encouragement my daughter has learned so much. She particularly loves creating art works and using the outdoor areas. And I love the open door policy as I often stop by during my break.”
“I cannot recommend Penguin Childcare more highly. My boy started at Penguin over 12 months ago, when we was just 6.5 months old. Starting my baby in childcare was a big adjustment for both myself and for him. The staff at Penguin were so supportive, caring and professional, which made this transition much easier. Over the last 12 months I have watch my boy develop and the Educators at Penguin have played a huge role in his development. The professional service and quality of care a second to none. Most importantly he is happy every day when I drop him off and pick him up. That says it all.”
“My Daughter started childcare when she was 2.5 years old. We had just moved from India and she had never been to childcare before or spoken English before. At Penguin they not only helped my little one adjust to the new place but also encourage her to learn English. Within a short 2 months my daughter was absolutely comfortable with English and her surroundings. Thank you Penguin for giving her such an amazing start to a new country.”
“My daughter started childcare for the first time here in the Toddlers Room and took some time to settle in. The staff in her room were very friendly and always took time to have a chat with us about our daughter’s day. Through their exceptional care and attentiveness to her needs and the wonderful interactions and activities planned, my daughter soon settled and now really enjoys and looks forward to going to childcare to see and play with her teachers and friends. We really appreciate all the staff’s hard work and efforts and would definitely recommend this place to others.”
“My Son Ardil has been attending Penguin Childcare Melbourne for the last 2 years full time and I could not be happier with the care that he gets. Every morning as soon as I walk into the centre I am greeted by a staff member with a warm hello. My Son is also acknowledged and spoken to. My Son loves coming to Penguin, he does not cry approaching the centre and loves all activities that the staff plan for him. Management are great and are always looking after me in terms of my payments. I am so happy to send my Son to Penguin every day.”
“My daughter Eliza is going to the Penguin Chilcare Centre in Melbourne, I am delighted to see her development and level of care she is getting from there. I feel safe and relaxed sending her in the center and happy to see all the smiling faces arround there. The Centre has the space and excellent management and floor staffs who are highly qualified and professional. They maintained the quality of care and also day to day planned activities that really helping my daughter to grow and making her fit to take the change of this world.”
“I am happy to send my son here as he is happy for me to leave him and staff are very welcoming. Always greeted with a smile and told about my sons day. I am a single mother and the centre is accommodating for my needs as I require flexibility for my schedule. The centre director is always there for me whenever I am in need whether it be to talk or for financial concerns. I highly recommend this centre to all types of families.”
“Our Son, Judah went to PCC from when he was a year old. He was not a happy child to start with as it was a new experience for him getting out of homely care (my in-laws took care of my son while I went back to work from when he was 6 months.) and I was definitely one of those parents who was devastated at seeing my son cry every morning as I left him at the child care.
But really, PCC staff took care of him so well that soon enough, he was cheerful and even waved me good bye when I dropped him off. I could say happily that I am so glad that we took him to PCC and had to take him off there only because we got a spot at a place so close to home! I commend Celia the director on knowing each of the child’s name and even the details of what they did every day and also the staff in Judah’s room for looking after each children as their own!!
